FEDMAS was established in 1987 exclusively for members of Federation of Goldsmiths & Jewellers Association of Malaysia who are involved the precious metal industry. There are Three offices in the Peninsula Malaysia; FEDMAS (JB) caters for the southern region; FEDMAS (KL) caters for the central region and FEDMAS (PG MAIN) caters for the northern region. Members from East Malaysia and else where can submit their samples for assaying to any of these three locations. As to enhance the standard of fineness for gold jewellery, thereby increasing the consumers’ confidence towards the quality of gold jewellery sold in Malaysia. All FEDMAS services were available to public since January 2003. All assay offices have been accredited to International standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005.
